As part of my PhD research I had case study notes from 18 recordings transcribed by DAATS generating 763 pages of transcript all of which was completed promptly.
The error rate was extremely low and related to technical terms or poor pronunciation which was inevitably accompanied by a time tag, indicating the transcribers concern and allowing me to easily find and correct the issue.
Other companies' web sites stated that the standard rate was for "BBC quality" recordings with a surcharge for poorer recordings. DAATS stated that there was a surcharge payable if the recording were not of a good enough quality but no surcharges were requested even though there was some background noise (one recording was made at a roadside cafe although the rest were in side rooms adjacent to active office environments).
